French Property transfer tax increases due

John Kitching warns that Notaire fees have increased as of 23^rd February 2011, and there is a further increase against French Property coming into effect from 2012. French Property Transfer tax for transfers between co-owners of French property or on for transfers of French Property on divorce is set to rise from 1.1% to 2.5% as of 1^st January 2012. If you are considering a transfer, you had better act fast to avoid the increase. The rate applies as of the date of completion of the transfer deed.
